We are often asked how long artists should allow for their recording, this is almost impossible to answer as we always prefer to quote the time needed to make a high quality production.
However, here are some rough estimates;
EPs - An average 4 track EP with a full band recording takes 3-4 days to complete. This includes the time for mixing and quick mastering. If you require a full mastering session using our outboard equipment, please allow one extra day to complete as this requires a more careful and time-consuming process.
Albums - An album depends on the number of tracks you wish to record. An average time spent for those sessions are between 10-20 days depending on how involved the session will be, i.e. if you are a 3 piece punk band, you can finish in 10 days but if you are 10 piece orchestral-country-folk band with strings and ukeleles, expect it to be slightly longer.
These estimates are based on our experience of working with a well rehearsed band, who have fully written songs and are willing to make releasable quality recordings. For those who are willing to do some demo quality recordings may take less time to complete. Please feel free to call us for prices and details for your session.
For artist and managers willing to book us, please beware the studio may have been very busy and require more than a month in advance to make a booking of preferable dates. Please note a 25% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The deposit is used as a part of your total payment at the release of recorded materials. It is also to be used as your fee in case of cancellation or not turning up on the day you booked.
