Main Studio

Welcome to the most unique recording studio in London. Situated in the middle of Bow, Bethnal Green and Hackney, Cafe Music Studios is the most artist-centred recording environment in town.

Established for over 30 years, we have been host to some of the biggest and smallest names in the industry. Converted in 1980 from a former Cafe/Brothel and turned into a working music studio, the building still bears the scars of it’s past, including signs of bomb damage from the Blitz.

At Cafe Music Studios we have 3 recording suites.

The main studio is a full live facility with well honed acoustics and an amazing feel. It is the womb-room. A sanctuary of music indulgence that will allow you to forget the outside world exists. This studio is the centre of Cafe Music and is famed for it’s warm ambience. This is engineered by Cherif Hashizume and overseen by Mark Sutherland, Studio Director.

The second room is our piano room. It is acoustically treated for maximum clarity and can also be used for mixing/mastering.

The third suite is a pre-production studio that has been used by countless artists on their way to the main room, and is currently home to producer Motorheart, specialising in artist and songwriter development.
